Petrie Island on October 21

Hi everyone - what a beautiful weekend we had - I think we hit over 20 degrees today.

Fantastic for...playing outside!

We took the kids over to Petrie Island and let them run in the leaves (and sand) for about an hour. Which resulted in about 3 hours of sleep...yes, they were good to us today ;)

OK - I totally realize this is way too many photos, but seriously - can you blame me?

Leah & Paige are officially - toddlers!

With the passing of their 18 month birthday, we've left the baby stage and moved into toddlerhood. We had their check up yesterday, and they're developing perfectly!
Leah is 25lbs, Paige 24. I wont bother with the height - because I know the measurement is incorrect - Paige measured taller, but anyone can tell with a naked eye that Leah is clearly the taller of the two. Both are long & lean - they'll likely be tall girls.

They've got a full blown vocabulary of "twin-eeze" now - they definitely speak some sort of language to each other. Their english is coming along fine too - they don't have a lot of words yet, but they definitely understand us, and can make themselves well understood too.

We do a lot of refereeing and coaching - the fights are endless. But there's a lot of love & affection between the two too - they can make your blood boil, but melt your heart moments later.

They continue to be good eaters, and I wonder if that's because they feel this constant need to compete! When they're hungry, all you hear is "aaah" and more "aaah" and it progressively gets louder and more aggressive if you wait too long to shovel the food in their mouths. And NOTHING is mine anymore. They could just be finishing up a huge breakfast of eggs and bagels...but as soon as I sit down with my toast, they're begging for a bite.

They also continue to be good sleepers - for the most part. I say that, because Paige is very sensitive to teething pain, and it seems to bother her most early in the morning. But I wont complain - we've had it easy, I know. OK, can I complain a bit? No??

Rachel, their nanny has been bringing the twins to a weekly library program, and all three kids to a weekly playgroup. They love the break from home, and we think the WORLD of Rachel for taking that initiative...can you imagine?! She's brave. And energetic - ha!

OK - signing off with a couple of pics of the big girls....

And a video of Paige, singing along with Mary Poppins:

OK - the blog is current now, and I will try to keep it that way!

Hope everyone is well xoxoxoxoxoxo

More of September

You know what they say about feeding your kids cheese, huh?

Multi-tasking...watching TV, on the computer, while eating. She must be mine :)

Double trouble!?! I'd say!

GIVE ME A KISS!

And Leah gets extensions (I'm not sure about the color. I think it looks too fake - ha!)

Peyton starts hockey! She's number 62:
